**What you do**
As the Travel Assistant, you manage all travel services for the U.S. Mission The Netherlands, providing travel policy guidance, advice, and assistance to all U.S. Mission employees that need to travel for official business, and you coordinate official visit assistance for a wide range of foreign affairs agencies based in Washington, D.C.
You manage travel services for Mission personnel, families, and official visitors, as well as the process for all necessary actions to ensure efficient and customer-focused operations. You remain current with contract guidelines and U.S. Government travel regulations, and are the travel expert of the U.S. Mission. You liaise with Foreign Embassies and Consulates, based in the Netherlands, for the issuance of diplomatic visas for U.S. Mission Personnel.
A significant number of VIP visits take place each year across the different foreign affairs agencies within the U.S. Mission. You are the travel liaison for these high-level visits, coordinating the administrative and logístical support as requested. You provide hotel recommendations based on the requirements of incoming visitors, and are the primary point of contact for all Mission hotel bookings. You provide all lodging guidance, and work with the hotels to obtain all associated services required.
**What we ask (mínimal requirements to apply)**
- Completion of Secondary School.
- Three years of progressively responsible experience in the hospitality field.
- A valid, current driver’s license type B.
- Detailed knowledge of local hotels and event venues. Detailed knowledge and understanding of Dutch laws and regulations governing the hospitality industry.
- A good working knowledge of Microsoft suite software, and SharePoint.
- Professional verbal and correspondence skills.
**What we offer**
- Annual salary of EUR 46,528 - EUR 60,486
- 8.33 % End of year bonus (13th month)
