**About the Role**

We are currently seeking a Grants Assistant to support SED Fund’s growth by supporting our Grants Management. This is a cross-cutting role which supports the delivery of SED Fund’s strategy through centralised Grants Management.

SED Fund currently consists of 23 employees based in various countries. As a Grants Assistant, you will be part of SED Fund’s Operations Team. We are an enthusiastic and collaborative team, and you will be offered the opportunity to support an important part of SED Fund’s strategy, while contributing to the organisation’s goals and growth.

**Reports to**: Senior Grants and Operations Manager

**Key Responsibilities**
- Reviewing grantees submissions, including financial and narrative reports, and Due Diligence documentation.
- Monitoring deadlines and following up on overdue requirements (reports, contracts, amendments, etc.).
- Looking after the contracting and payment processes in close collaboration with the Operations and Finance Team.
- Ensuring the integrity and accuracy of Grant’s data in our Grants Management System.
- Communicating with Grantees to provide operational support and guidance on processes, requirements, and schedules.
- Onboarding and providing regular support for SED Fund’s Programme Team and other users of the Grants Management System.
- Collating feedback and registering lessons learnt and helping to develop training material and Standard Operating Procedures in order to increase efficiency.
- Assisting with collecting information, producing reports, and preparing presentations for internal and external sharing.
- At least 2+ years of relevant professional experience, preferably in a grant making organisation.
- A genuine interest in the mission and values of SED Fund.
- A strong interest and motivation to work within Grants Management and the desire to grow and develop in this role.
- A familiarity with philanthropic and grant-based work.
- The ability to understand and meet the requirements of various stakeholders.
- A fast-learning self-starter who is comfortable with working independently.
- The ability to deliver tasks with mínimal supervision in a fast-paced and wide-ranging work environment across multiple time zones.
- Must be confident and comfortable with handling and prioritising multiple tasks simultaneously, while maintaining strong attention to detail.
- Strong organisational, time-management skills, and a problem-solving mentality.
- Display strong interpersonal skills and have a customer-service mindset.
- Excellent analytical skills and strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Collegial, diplomatic and a natural team player.
- A good sense of judgement and the ability to maintain confidentiality and handle information with a high discretion.
