**Position overview**:
As the Sourcing Manager for Packaging in the EMEA region, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping our sourcing strategies, managing supplier relationships, and driving cost savings. Your expertise will directly impact our supply chain efficiency and overall success.

**Responsibilities**:

- Lead commercial activities related to contract negotiation, development, approval, and implementation for regional packaging materials.
- Develop in-depth market knowledge, including supplier landscapes, production processes, and emerging trends.
- Define and execute the regional sourcing strategy.
- Identify Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) reduction opportunities through RFPs and supplier negotiations.
- Be the primary contact for key suppliers.
- Foster strong relationships to ensure world-class performance and risk management.
- Work closely with business stakeholders to align sourcing activities with organizational goals.
- Deliver on our global target for annual savings on packaging materials.
- Proactively manage supply risk and address escalated supply issues.
- Stay informed about regional packaging material markets, pricing trends, and innovations.
- Translate market developments into strategic opportunities.
- Use the Management of Change process to qualify new packaging materials and suppliers.
- Represent the regional category in cross-functional forums and programs.

**Required skills and experience**:

- Higher education (Master’s degree preferred) in Economics, Engineering, or MBA.
- Minimum 5 years of successful experience in an international company.
- Solid understanding of packaging materials markets, including supply-demand dynamics and cost drivers.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize complex information.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills (English proficiency required).
- Six Sigma certification is a plus.
- Fluency in business English and any other language.
- Experience with Ariba E-Sourcing and Reverse Auction preferred.
- Strong project management skills.
