We are seeking a competent and motivated **Seafreight Operator** to join our Rotterdam team. As a **Seafreight Operator**, you will play a crucial role in managing the operational aspects of our seafreight shipments. This position requires meticulous attention to detail, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

**Responsibilities**:

- Coordinate and manage all aspects of seafreight shipments, from booking to delivery.
- Liaise with clients, carriers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth and timely transportation of goods.
- Prepare and process shipping documentation, including bills of lading, invoices, and customs clearance documents.
- Calculate freight rates, charges, and other related costs accurately.
- Communicate effectively with customers to provide shipment updates and address any inquiries or concerns.
- Collaborate with internal departments, such as sales, customer service, and operations, to ensure seamless execution of shipments.
- Monitor shipment status and proactively address any issues or delays that may arise.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation for all seafreight transactions.
- Ensure compliance with international shipping regulations and company policies.
- Continuously seek opportunities to optimise processes and improve efficiency in seafreight operations.

**Essential Skills**:

- Minimum of two years of experience in seafreight operations.
- Strong knowledge of international shipping procedures, regulations, and documentation requirements.
- Proficiency in using shipping software and systems (e.g., One World, CargoWise).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to prioritise tasks and work effectively under pressure.
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in data entry and documentation.
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically in challenging situations.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work schedules.
- Team player with a positive attitude and willingness to collaborate with colleagues.
