**Over deze vacature**:
- Zonne-energie opwekken via ramen, gekleurde gevels, op zee, in auto’s en in landschappen. Dat is de toekomst Alleen zo kunnen we de hoeveelheid zonne-energie in 2030 verviervoudigen en in 2050 zelfs vertienvoudigen. Dit vraagt om een volgende generatie zonnecellen en -panelen die circulair ontworpen zijn én optimaal kunnen worden toegepast. En daar kom jij in beeld. Jij leidt de researchgroep Solar Technology & Application in de ontwikkeling van nieuwe technologieën voor het opwekken van zonne-energie. Jouw werk heeft directe impact op de energietransitie en helpt Nederland naar een duurzame toekomst.**Wat ga je doen?**:
- Binnen de unit Energy and Materials Transition leid je de researchgroep Solar Technology & Applications (STA). Hier werken 50 professionals samen aan innovatieve oplossingen voor zonne-energie. Dit diverse team werkt met geavanceerde onderzoeksfaciliteiten, zoals een cleanroom, en communiceert zowel in het Engels als Nederlands. Jouw rol is om deze professionals te inspireren en hun talenten optimaal te benutten in uitdagende R&D-projecten. Als researchmanager draag je bij aan de strategie, geef je richting aan proposities en neem je jouw collega’s hierin mee.
Als researchmanager ben je ook een belangrijk lid van het managementteam van de divisie EMT Energy Supply. Je werkt vanuit Eindhoven, en bezoekt regelmatig de locaties in Petten en Rijswijk. Hiermee zorg je voor een goede samenwerking met andere researchgroepen van TNO. Door jouw betrokkenheid en leiderschap creëer je een prettige en productieve werkomgeving waarin iedereen zich gehoord en gewaardeerd voelt. Op het gebied van Zonne-energie heeft TNO twee Research groepen die samenwerken aan drie proposities:
- Solar Energy in Petten
- Solar Technology & Application in Eindhoven

- Je luistert actief naar alle collega’s van STA en de divisie en bespreekt samen de strategie, kennisontwikkeling, markttrends en persoonlijke groei. Met jouw constructieve feedback kunnen ze concreet aan de slag. En je motiveert ze met je oprechte interesse, zowel in het werk als in de mensen. Je bevordert een fijne en inspirerende werkomgeving, waar iedereen zichzelf kan zijn en elkaar vertrouwt. Ook zorg je dat de hightech infrastructuur efficiënt werkt en bewaak je de voortgang van projecten zorgvuldig.
Wat je verder meebrengt:
- Een achtergrond in de natuurwetenschappen of een gerelateerd vakgebied.
- Ervaring met het leiden van teams en het bevorderen van samenwerkingen in een complexe hightech R&D-omgeving.
- Goede beheersing van het Engels en bij voorkeur ook het Nederlands (of je bent gemotiveerd om dit snel te leren).
