**Job description**
Inter IKEA Systems B.V. is the worldwide IKEA franchisor, with 12 different groups of companies operating IKEA stores and other IKEA sales channels in over 60 different countries across the world, under franchise agreements with Inter IKEA Systems. The Legal & Governance, Risk & Compliance and Internal Audit teams at Inter IKEA Systems have a full range of legal, risk, compliance and audit responsibilities including certain group tasks and consists of around 40 professionals of many different nationalities, backgrounds, cultures and expertise areas. The team works closely together with Legal & Governance and Risk & Compliance functions in IKEA Range and IKEA Supply. We are strengthening our team and therefore we are seeking a legal coordinator based in Delft, The Netherlands.

**About the job**
As a legal coordinator you will support the Inter IKEA Group Legal & Governance, Risk and Compliance and Internal Audit functions in holding together the totality of the initiatives across Inter IKEA Group and to set and steer the direction. You will support in creating efficiencies within this group, by supporting with the creation and unification of joint processes, tools and working methods. You will support the General Counsel and managers in these teams to continuously develop the team members, e.g. in new legal or specialist areas. You will also work closely together with the Legal Operations Coordinator, legal project assistant and paralegal and certain experts within Legal, Ethics & Integrity,, Risk & Compliance and Internal Control. You will participate in, or lead, certain projects within these functions.

**You will be working closely with the Inter IKEA Group General Counsel supporting in the assignments**:

- Co-lead and steer the development of the overall direction and initiatives in Legal & Governance, Risk & Compliance and Internal Audit
- Hold together the overall performance management of these functions
- Lead initiatives and projects within the legal and risk & compliance areas which go across
- Take part in, co-ordinate and plan activities within the yearly calendar
- Support with the development of the team members and the development of the competence within these functions
- Lead selected questions/issues and, when needed, represent the Inter Ikea Group General Counsel in various meetings and forums
- Organize and participate in various (management) meetings and prepare materials and content as required
- Provide administrative support to the IIG General Counsel
- Prepare, evaluate and support external engagements in cooperation with Communications and Public affairs
- Work closely with colleagues in all Core businesses

**About you**
You have excellent communication skills including facilitation, active listening and the ability to communicate complex issues in a clear, engaging way. **To be successful in this role, the following knowledge, skills and experiences would be valuable**:

- A minimum of 3-5 years of experience working in an international organisation
- Strong skills in building and maintaining a network of complex stakeholders
- Broad and in-depth knowledge and experience with legal & governance, risk & compliance and internal audit matters and the topics that teams are working on
- A University or high professional education degree in a relevant field (e.g. Law)
- Proven experience with working on developing competence Proven experience of enabling successful change and realizing business benefits

**Additional Information**
This role is part-time or full-time (32 or 40 hours per week) and based in Delft, The Netherlands. This role sits in the Legal & Governance function and reports to Inter IKEA Group General Counsel.
