Volkshotel is a place for single mums, dandies, artists and night owls. A place where there’s life 24/7 and creativity flows. In Volkshotel, locals and travellers gather to eat, drink, work, sleep and play. With Werkplaats (café & co-working spaces), Doka (sound bar), Canvas (restaurant on the 7th floor), Broedplaats VKG (85 work spaces for creative minds) and 216 hotel rooms, this former newspaper building is more than just a place for tourists to sleep. The reasonable prices and easy-going vibe make Volkshotel a place for everyone._

Are you a night owl with an eye for detail and are order and tidiness your second nature? Then you fit perfectly in our housekeeping team. As a night cleaner you are an important face for Volkshotel. You ensure that all public areas, from Badplaats at the 8th floor to the soundbar in the basement, are spotlessly clean.

**Are you**:

- Living in or around Amsterdam?
- Capable of speaking Dutch and/or English and at least 18 years old?
- Obsessed with cleanliness?
- Willing to work multiple night shifts per week?
- Available on weekends?
- A proactive person?

**What your work night looks like**:
At the start of your shift you will check the briefing from your supervisor. Then your shift begins. As a Night Cleaner, you are an important face for Volkshotel. You will take care of all the public spaces during the night hours. You’ll make sure that everything, from the public spaces, to our furniture and corridors are clean, tidy and dust free. Next to this you report any technical defects to our night receptionist. Before your shift ends you make sure all the waste and debris is stored and disposed of in the correct way. You’re part of our Housekeeping team and supervised by the Housekeeping Supervisor. During your shift there will always be someone at the reception who you will assist in case of an emergency. To make sure you are equipped to help out you will be getting a BHV emergency training. Need to relax after work? No problem, jump in our hot tubs on the 8th floor. Don’t want to go home yet? You don’t have to. As a Volkshotel employee you get a discount on everything (programming, rooms, food and drinks) in the hotel.

**What do we offer?**
Salary based on Horeca CAO schaal 3 and a contract direct through Volkshotel. As an employee of Volkshotel you can stay at the hotel one night per year for free. In addition, you will have the following benefits: an additional vacation day, discounts on any activities in the building, sociable drinks and the annual Volks-anniversary party.
