Tasks As a Solution Architect, you will design and optimize the IT landscape of enercity AG from an economic and strategic perspective. You are responsible for the quality and performance of central core processes and actively help shape the IT strategy. You survey the current status and create IT target development plans and derive transformation plans for the ongoing optimization of the IT landscape. You will also integrate software development processes into the overall architecture approach. Once you have analysed the core processes, you will identify specific optimization and automation measures. You will be responsible for maintaining the application software and ensuring smooth and efficient operation. You carry out preliminary investigations and create decision papers and IT concepts. You will also introduce applications and application enhancements. The introduction, support and administration of applications are carried out using tried-and-tested methods and tools. You will then advise the specialist departments and the development team on technical feasibility and issues as well as innovations and trends. You will develop appropriate solutions to ensure stable, secure and highly available IT operations, including emergency and recovery strategies. The successful management of (sub-)projects in the development area rounds off your area of responsibility. Requirements You have a Master's degree or equivalent in computer science, mathematics or a comparable qualification. As an architect or consultant with a strong IT background, you already have several years of professional experience. You have also gained practical experience in software development and/or application operation. You are always customer- and service-oriented and also have decision-making skills and strategic thinking. Your actions are characterized by your high level of curiosity, innovative spirit and willingness to take responsibility. You value interdisciplinary collaboration and develop innovative solutions together with experts from different specialist areas.
