Jij bent de technische visionair die complexe vraagstukken vertaalt naar baanbrekende mechanische ontwerpen. Als Mechanical Architect speel je een sleutelrol in de design- en realisatiefase van state-of-the-art hardware. In nauwe samenwerking met de Systems Engineer bepaal je de specificaties en creëer je conceptuele ontwerpen die de grenzen van technologie verleggen. Je bouwt experimentele opstellingen om kritische aspecten te bewijzen en werkt deze uit tot gedetailleerde prototypes. Jouw invloed reikt verder dan de tekentafel. In de detailfase neem jij het voortouw en stuur je een team van Mechanical Engineers aan. Jij bewaakt de kwaliteit, zorgt dat de juiste ontwerpmethodieken worden gehanteerd en garandeert dat het ontwerp tot in de puntjes wordt uitgewerkt. Tijdens de productie, assemblage, integratie en testfase (MAIT) ben jij de inhoudelijke vraagbaak die met diepgaande kennis van het design zorgt voor een vlekkeloze uitvoering. Dit is jouw kans om impact te maken in de semiconductor- of ruimtevaartindustrie. - experience 10 - skills Om in deze uitdagende rol te excelleren, beschik je over een sterke theoretische basis gecombineerd met ruime praktijkervaring in hightech omgevingen. - Je hebt een afgeronde WO-master of PhD in Mechanical Engineering of Aerospace Engineering. - Je brengt minimaal 8 jaar relevante ervaring mee in het ontwerpen van (opto)mechanische systemen binnen de semiconductorindustrie of space & science. - Je hebt diepgaande kennis van 'Dutch design principles' (constructieprincipes) en statisch bepaald construeren. - Je bent expert op het gebied van thermomechanica en het ontwerpen voor ultra-stabiliteit. - Je hebt ruime ervaring met 3D CAD (bij voorkeur NX/Teamcenter) en FEM-tools zoals Ansys of Comsol. - Je begrijpt het dynamisch gedrag van mechanische structuren; basiskennis van optica en regeltechniek is een sterke pre. - Je hebt aantoonbare ervaring in het technisch aansturen of coachen van andere engineers. - Je beheerst de Engelse taal uitstekend in woord en geschrift; beheersing van het Nederlands is een voordeel. - qualifications HAVO, VWO share this job.
