About the Role
As a Sourcing Project Manager, you will play a critical role in managing projects within the global Sourcing organization in close cooperation with one of our Business Units. Our projects are highly complex, involving innovative technologies for unique customer applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute project plans for Sourcing-related activities in NPI and outsourcing projects.
- Act as a liaison between Programs, Sourcing, and the supply base to ensure seamless project execution.
- Identify and mitigate supply base gaps and constraints in the early stages of projects.
- Translate commercial product targets into negotiation targets for Sourcing categories.
- Participate in bidding processes for new business as a Sourcing representative.
- Drive commercial targets and project planning to meet business objectives.
- Ensure technical requirements are met at suppliers and capacity requirements are fulfilled.
- Provide coaching and mentoring to Sourcing and R&D colleagues in complex project situations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a technical or business-related field.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to present to executive-level stakeholders.
- Excellent relationship management skills, with the ability to demand strongly in a constructive manner.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a win-win attitude.
- Able to obtain buy-in from internal stakeholders.
