Key Responsibilities

We are seeking a skilled Geneticist to join our central R&D team in Boxmeer, The Netherlands. As a member of our Global Genotyping Team, you will play a vital role in ensuring high-quality genotypes are available for genomic selection across various species, including layers, turkeys, swine, aquaculture, and traditional poultry. Your primary responsibilities will include timely processing of genotypes while maintaining exceptional quality standards. Additionally, you will contribute to research activities aimed at improving our breeding programs.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need a Master's or Ph.D. degree in Animal Breeding or Animal Science. You should have a proven understanding of quantitative genetics and basic knowledge of data analysis. Proficiency in programming skills in R is also required. We are looking for an individual with attention to detail, ability to work under tight deadlines, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills. A team player at heart, you will also be a creative problem solver with a good understanding of genomics and experience working with large-scale genotype data is an advantage.
