Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Legal Counsel to join our team in Europe. As a Senior Legal Counsel, you will play a critical role in managing legal risk and providing commercial legal support to our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Draft, amend, and negotiate commercial agreements, including telecommunication services, cloud services, and software licenses.
  • Provide accurate and understandable legal advice and drafting services to support business operations.
  • Identify, analyze, and mitigate contractual risk.
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders to ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Work closely with colleagues within and outside the legal department to achieve business objectives.
  • Advise on and manage a wide range of legal issues, including data protection, compliance, company law, employment law, litigation, regulatory affairs, and intellectual property.
  • Subject to approval, instruct external counsel and provide advice on local and European legislation.
  • Deal with legal requests in a timely and efficient manner.
Requirements
  • Excellent academic qualifications (degree).
  • Qualified lawyer in a European jurisdiction.
  • Good understanding of commercial law and its practical applications in a business environment.
  • 5-10 years post-qualification experience is indicative of the requirement.
  • Practical and quick-minded approach, allowing for the delivery of pragmatic and business-focused solutions.
  • Hands-on experience of contract preparation, review, and negotiation.
  • Proven track record of effectively managing and influencing internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experience using cloud-based contract management tools.
  • Telecoms/IT experience is an advantage.
  • IT/PC literacy essential.
  • Fully fluent, both written and verbal, in English and ideally other languages.

Working Conditions

Monday-Friday office hours.
