Within the Capital Markets & Accounting Advisory Services (CMAAS) division, sustainability stands as a pivotal theme. We provide expert guidance to our clients regarding the EU Taxonomy, and with the growing importance of the auditor's role, we have initiated the establishment of the Competence Centre for EU Taxonomy (EUTCC). If you are interested in a distinctive advisory role while also supporting audit teams as a subject matter expert, we encourage you to explore this opportunity further.
Your Responsibilities: Develop expertise in the EU Taxonomy. Assist clients in interpreting EU Taxonomy requirements while serving as a subject matter expert for audit support. Act as a liaison among various KPMG departments, including CMAAS, Sustainability, Audit, and the Department of Professional Practice. Maintain a critical mindset and foster a collaborative working environment. Deliver training sessions on non-financial reporting. Adapt seamlessly to different team dynamics.
Your Qualifications: Master's degree in Accounting, Control, or a related field. Certification as an accountant (RA, ACCA, CPA, or equivalent). 5-8 years of relevant professional experience, primarily in external audit. Demonstrated interest in sustainability initiatives. Preferably experienced in non-financial reporting. Strong analytical and conceptual skills, with the ability to perform under pressure. Ability to work independently while engaging with multiple stakeholders. Proficient in English for effective communication with international clients.
Role Overview:
As an Assistant Manager within the CMAAS team, you will embark on an extensive learning journey. This specialized department focuses on advising clients regarding intricate accounting and reporting issues, including the latest EU Taxonomy requirements.
Your role in the Competence Centre for EU Taxonomy will be unique. You will receive training to become a subject matter expert on the EU Taxonomy. During the first and last quarters of the year, your primary focus will be to assist audit teams, while the remainder of the year will allow for flexibility in your schedule. This presents an opportunity to shape your role with additional responsibilities and engage in advisory projects. As large companies will soon be required to align their reporting with the EU Taxonomy, you will encounter numerous exciting clients and projects.
This combination of audit support and advisory work will enable you to collaborate with various professionals within KPMG, both in the Netherlands and internationally, as the nature of the work often necessitates sharing insights and expertise with other KPMG offices. You will have ample opportunities to enhance your skills, expand your knowledge, and grow your professional network, along with potential involvement in broader sustainability reporting initiatives in the future.
