Job Summary
SABIC - Saudi Basic Industries Corp. is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented intern to join our Technology & Innovation team. As an Application Development Intern, you will have the opportunity to contribute to a research project focused on the development of new polyolefin materials.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct literature studies to identify methods of polymers processing and properties
- Develop and implement testing methods to evaluate pipe performance properties
- Benchmark selected materials to assess key properties influencing polyolefin pipes
- Perform basic resin characterization and material analysis
- Produce pipes on novel pilot scale equipment
- Characterize the morphology of pipes at different stages of production
- Summarize findings in a final internship report and presentation
Requirements
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
- Bachelor or Master student in chemical or mechanical engineering
- Curious and investigative with hands-on mentality and structured work approach
- Ability to connect with others and adapt to an international environment
- Self-driven and motivated individual
