About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Tech Lead to join our Warehouse Systems team at Picnic. As a Tech Lead, you will be responsible for leading a team of software developers in the design, development, and deployment of software solutions that drive our fulfillment operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of software developers in the design, development, and deployment of software solutions
  • Collaborate with stakeholders from tech and business to drive solution design and implementation
  • Ensure smooth day-to-day operation of software systems and proactively communicate with colleagues in operations
  • Make pragmatic trade-offs between timeline and cost without sacrificing quality
  • Help the team plan and prioritize work and ensure smooth delivery of planned work

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field
  • At least 7 years of experience in back-end development, including Java, Spring Boot, AMQP, and SQL
  • At least 2 years of experience in leading projects and/or teams
  • Strong abstract thinking and ability to translate high-level architectures into executable plans
  • Intrinsic need to validate own ideas with others and leverage expertise from others
  • Demonstrable experience in large-scale, long-running refactoring projects
  • Decision-making based on business risks and opportunities
  • Experience with cloud-based software architecture and affinity with hardware automation
  • Great English skills and ability to structure thoughts and express them clearly verbally and in writing
