Your Responsibilities
As a member of the KPMG Netherlands Sustainable Supply Chain team, you will:
Offer expert knowledge in Supply Chain Due Diligence, sustainable procurement, and the decarbonization of supply chains. Oversee projects of varying sizes and complexities. Engage in projects as either a support contributor or a subject matter expert. Interact directly with clients. Collaborate with KPMG colleagues involved in other sustainability initiatives and service areas. Network with industry stakeholders and actors. Assist in proposal development and business growth, progressively taking on more leadership responsibilities.
Your Qualifications A minimum of 5-7 years of substantial experience in sustainability, environmental supply chain management, sustainable sourcing, and supplier engagement programs. A comprehensive understanding of standards such as SEDEX, SAI, RA, RSPO, SMETA, ZDHC, etc., including their contributions and limitations in sustainable sourcing contexts. Familiarity with recent regulatory developments like the CSRD and CSDDD, as well as an understanding of the SBTi framework. A strong affinity for relevant technologies and tools in sustainable sourcing and supply chain transparency. Excellent communication skills, including proficiency in report writing and presentations in English. Experience in managing global projects. Practical experience in stakeholder engagement, qualitative interviews, social/environmental auditing, or impact assessments. Additional skills in qualitative social research are advantageous.
