About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Shopfitter to join our team at IHC. As a Shopfitter, you will be responsible for the fabrication and assembly of pipe fittings and brackets. Your expertise will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and efficiency of our products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Independently fabricate pipe fittings and brackets.
  • Assemble pipe fittings, valves, and other necessary components.
  • Process, grind, and degrease weld seams.
  • Weld pipe fittings according to applicable guidelines.
  • Transport materials to and from the worksite.
  • Report pipe fittings and components according to guidelines.
  • Identify deviations in piping materials, components, and drawings, and report to the supervisor.
  • Perform maintenance on machines and tools, ensuring a clean workspace.
  • Report malfunctions of machines and tools to the supervisor.
  • Conduct interim checks and final checks on measurements.
  • Inspect and pressure test piping systems.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a pipefitter in ship piping systems.
  • Ability to work 100% independently.
  • Proficient in reading isometric sketches.
  • Possession of a valid VCA certificate or willingness to obtain one.
  • Proficiency in the English language.
