Nautical Consultant

We are seeking a highly skilled Nautical Consultant to join our team at Royal HaskoningDHV Zwolle. As a Nautical Consultant, you will play a key role in providing expert advice on maritime and port-related projects, including navigation, ship manoeuvrability, navigational safety, marine services, and port planning.

• Act as an advisor and consultant on a wide range of maritime and port-related projects for various types of clients around the globe.
• Carry out navigational studies, including fast-time simulations, and prepare and guide real-time simulations in cooperation with our trusted partners.
• Provide expert advice on navigation, ship manoeuvrability, navigational safety, marine services, and port planning to our project teams and external clients.
• Manage your own standalone nautical projects, including financial results, progress, client satisfaction, and communications.

• Background in Civil Engineering or Maritime Technology.
• 5+ years of proven experience as a nautical advisor/consultant in the port sector.
• Strong understanding of marine services in a port, including knowledge of various ships' types and their goods and how this affects ship handling and maneuvering.
• Ability to assess marine risks in complex situations and design Aids to Navigation layouts and specifications.
• Ability to work in a team and communicate effectively with colleagues and clients.
