Software Engineering Team Lead

We are seeking a talented Team Manager Software Engineering to join our team at Thales in Hengelo, Netherlands.
This is a challenging role within a great team in our high-tech, innovative work environment. As a Team Manager Software Engineering, you will be responsible for setting up and managing a team responsible for the Tacticos INFRA software developments. Your team will work according to the agile/scrum methodology, and you will be held responsible for meeting project objectives in relation to customer value, quality, time, and budget.
You will be part of the Management Team of the CMS Segment and the Software Engineering Discipline. Our management culture is based on trust, transparency, and mastery. Together with the other team managers, you will be responsible for the overall department results. You will contribute to and play an important part in setting up and executing our strategic plans and initiate process improvements.
About the team
As Team Manager Software Engineering, you will lead a team of 25-35 software and/or test engineers. The team will be responsible for the development of Combat & Information Management Systems for marine vessels and their integration with sensor and weapons systems. These complex systems incorporate advanced solutions in the field of information processing, information management, user interaction, and sensor and weapons control.

Requirements
- Proven line management experience within the software development area.
- Strong analytical qualities, combined with creativity and pragmatism.
- A committed colleague who wants results.
- Able to communicate efficiently in English, both verbally and written.
- A BSC or MSC degree, preferably in Software Engineering.
