At Huboo, we are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead our warehouse operations in the Netherlands. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the site, managing a team of Hub Managers, and driving forward our rapidly expanding business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Overall responsibility for the Netherlands site operations reporting into the Head of European Operations
- Ensure all of our people are motivated and engaged to produce the best results for our clients
- Execute clear and well-executed daily processes, routines, and reporting to ensure we are well managed within our operations
- Ability to supervise and motivate a team, ensuring that all teams work to their maximum efficiency
- Promote and harness the Huboo culture, encouraging high performing employees through empowerment and coaching
- Make suggestions to improve ways of working from a people and process point of view
- Keep the customer at the centre of everything, adding value to the customer experience and ensure long term customer retention
- Be main point of contact for all internal and external stakeholders
- Implement and constantly review H&S strategies.
- Implement and ensure a safety work environment for all the team.
- Ensure that all business global planning and strategies are implemented onsite.
Warehouse Operations:
- Ensure resource is aligned to workload to ensure we deliver a consistent excellent service
- First point of escalation for customer service or operational issue resolution
- Ensure that accurate and timely communication is always flowing with clients and the business
- Create an environment where the highest performance standards are maintained, and immediate interventions are made to correct all mistakes
- Hands on and leads by example to get the daily work done
- Identify training requirements, showing "how to", coaching, practical help, direction, and expertise to support to the hub managers in their area
- Coach, mentor, and act as a role model to Hub Supervisors to ensure optimum performance is achieved
Finance:
- Own and control Pn L for the site
- Implement financial strategies pointed by the SMT
- Control of warehouse margin as main KPI
- Review on client's performance and margin and advise on actions.
Requirements:
- Experience of leading a successful high performing logistics operation
- Excellent coaching skills developing members of staff
- The ability to plan effectively to create maximum efficiency
- Problem solving skills in the moment and for long term issues
- High energy and the ability to motivate a team to perform to the best of their abilities
- A customer centric individual that always understands the customers situation and puts actions in place to ensure the customer is at the heart of everything we do
- A people focused individual that ensures plans are in place to make the operation a great place to work
- Native/advanced Dutch is a plus, advanced level of English language is require
- Excellent coaching skills developing members of staff
- Experience of peer-to-peer coaching is advantage
- 5 Years of experience in logistics or supply chain in fast paced environments.

About us:
Founded in 2017, Huboo was created by e-commerce sellers for e-commerce sellers. Martin Bysh (former CEO) and Paul Dodd (CIO) found that the demands and struggles that came with picking, packing, and shipping their products was becoming impossible. They considered outsourcing their fulfilment but could not find a company that allowed them to remain in the driving seat of their growing business.
Paul and Martin soon created Huboo's unique Hub Model.
Huboo was then founded. Huboo is not like any normal fulfilment warehouse, we have a specific Hub Model, which allows our Hub Managers to take ownership of their Hubs and be the point of contact for our clients. They are not only pickers and packers but are also account managers. Huboo works with clients selling through e Bay, Amazon, and other channels.
