Job Description

At IFF, we strive to discover innovative flavors and fragrances that delight consumers. Our Product Integrity Analysis (PIA) labs provide critical analytical support to IFF enterprise risk management programs. We are seeking a highly motivated Analytical Chemist to join our Tilburg PIA team.

In this senior role, you will collaborate with a small team to perform analytical evaluations of raw materials, intermediates, and finished products using modern chromatographic methods. You will assess the validity of results and equipment, determine root cause, and implement corrective and preventive actions.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct daily analyses using sophisticated analytical equipment, including GC-MS, LC-MS, and ICP-MS, and report results in a timely manner.
  • Make risk analysis and usage decisions regarding nonconformances.
  • Provide technical oversight and representation to internal stakeholders and customers.
  • Lead and execute method enhancement and validation plans, and facilitate the implementation of newly developed methods.
  • Plan and prioritize work, managing tasks independently.
  • Complete documentation of work, including technical reports.

Requirements:

  • A minimum BSc in chemistry, preferably analytical chemistry or equivalent.
  • 5+ years of experience in the field of GC-MS, LC-MS, and/or ICP-MS, including in-depth understanding and ability to maintain equipment.
  • Dutch and English fluency to interact with colleagues and other IFF affiliate sites.
  • Knowledge of ISO standards, regulatory affairs, and critical control points.
  • Conceptual thinking, initiative, and proactivity towards technical solutions for continuous improvement.
  • Proficiency in computer systems, including Outlook, Excel, Word, LIMS, and SAP.
  • Ability to work under pressure, prioritizing objectives in response to rapidly changing work assignments.
