About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Energy Portfolio Manager to join our team at Flexcity. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a crucial role in driving the growth and success of our energy portfolio.

Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing our energy producing and consuming assets, securing and optimizing their operational and financial performance while managing associated risks. You will also support our sales and business development teams and maintain strong relationships with customers and partners.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Operations and Project Management: Manage daily and yearly tenders of network operators, determining available capacity and bidding strategy based on market information and technical constraints.
  • Development of Customised Solutions: Provide flexibility valuation studies and key differentiators in tailored offers to asset owners, contributing to the evolution of our tools and processes.
  • Operational Performance Reporting and Administration: Report and communicate operational results to customers and partners, manage financial settlements, and monitor regulatory changes.

Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Fluent English and Dutch language skills;
  • Mandatory knowledge of the Google Cloud Platform and Python environment;
  • Solid foundation in the energy sector, preferably electricity markets;
  • Familiarity with network balancing services and regulation of the electricity sector in Belgium;
  • Project management experience;
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team;
  • Positive and proactive attitude;
  • Intrapreneurial mindset;
