Job Summary:
The IE Specialist plays a crucial role in supporting the Industrial Engineering function at UPS. This position is responsible for gathering and analyzing data to inform work measurement and operational planning activities. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate complex information effectively.
Responsibilities:
- Gather and analyze data to develop work measurement and operational plans.
- Verify the proper application of work measurement to ensure accuracy.
- Conduct audits to identify areas and processes not in compliance with standards.
- Develop action plans and obtain management corrective action commitments.
- Assess the impact of forecasts on operating plans.
- Respond to ad hoc reporting and analysis requests.
- Maintain forecasts, operating plans, and tracking spreadsheets.
- Develop annual staffing projections based on trends.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree or International equivalent in Engineering or related field.
- Understanding of operational barriers and failures, and identifies/improves designs, methods, processes, and flows through collaboration.
- Technical minded with ability to resolve issues related to information systems reporting, report generation and storage, customized reports, and data integration.
- Industrial Engineering experience.
- Experience using advanced Access and Excel functionalities.
- Availability to work flexible shift hours, including weekends and travel.
