Ensuring a responsible approach to client requirements, international rules, and regulations, as well as Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality (HSEQ) obligations is essential in contributing to the realization of Bluewater's goals and strategy.
About the JobAs a Piping Designer, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality piping designs that meet project technical specifications and planning requirements. You will report to the Lead Project Engineer on progress, setbacks, concerns, and design improvements. Additionally, you will signal technical risks and anomalies in projects to the Process & Piping Section Head. The position may require working abroad, on-site, or with clients when necessary.
RequirementsWe are seeking an accurate and creative designer with excellent communication skills. Key qualifications include:
- A Bachelor's degree or Technical College diploma, preferably in Mechanical Engineering.
- Current eligibility to live and work in the Netherlands (EU passport or NL work permit).
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in piping design, preferably in the oil and gas industry.
- Familiarity with designing and evaluating system schematics, Process & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), piping layouts, and isometrics.
- Proficiency in 2D (AutoCAD) and 3D piping design tools.
- Experience with Autodesk Plant 3D is required.
- Knowledge of piping bulk materials and basic principles of piping flexibility.
- Excellent English language skills, both verbally and in writing.
