About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Custody & Fund Accounting Officer to join our team in Amsterdam. This is a unique opportunity to work with a leading custodian bank, asset manager and asset intelligence company.

Job Description

This role requires someone who is able to ensure team compliance with operating policies, procedures and guidelines in the completion of Net Asset Valuations (NAV) across our Fund Structures. You will be responsible for ensuring that custody operations run smoothly in areas such as transaction servicing, income & corporate actions, cash processing, claims, agent bank operations, cash monitoring and investigations, failed & unmatched trade monitoring, reconciliations.

You will also supervise and review the work performed by Fund Accounting & Custody staff, govern internal and/or external outsourcing agreements and act as OEM (Outsourcing Engagement Manager). Additionally, you will perform Review and delivery of client KPIs; maintain team KPIs and strive to remediate with the team where red and with internal teams via operations calls.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure team compliance with operating policies, procedures and guidelines in the completion of Net Asset Valuations (NAV) across our Fund Structures.
  • Supervise and review the work performed by Fund Accounting & Custody staff.
  • Govern internal and/or external outsourcing agreements and act as OEM (Outsourcing Engagement Manager).
  • Perform Review and delivery of client KPIs; maintain team KPIs and strive to remediate with the team where red and with internal teams via operations calls.
  • Manage internal workflows to ensure internal and client deadlines are met.
  • Manage expectations with client contacts when new requests are made.
  • Spot check distribution calculations; including the review of market notices where applicable.
  • Monitor Fund Sub-Closures on accounting systems and work with teams to close funds in MCH in their entirety.
  • Verify: if checklists are signed off as required; if relevant back up saved; quality of comments.
  • Respond in a timely manner to external and internal inquiries using Inquiry Management Tool (IMT) - internal communication system and monitor the responsiveness rates for the entire team.
  • Perform periodic review of bank and cash reconciliations Including quality of comments.
  • Prepare and/or review client related correspondence.
  • Coordinate and/or drive dispute resolution of operational errors & claims.
  • Establish and maintain working relationships with key contacts Officer/AVP+, including offshore management via Operations calls.
  • Participate in the development, testing and implementation of new systems.
  • Coordinate client deliverables, both with clients and internally.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should have a bachelor's degree with a focus on finance, investments, accounting, custody or related field. We are looking for someone with 3-5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably with fluency in Dutch and English, IT literacy, team player skills, pro-active attitude, strong analytical skills, attention to detail, intellectual curiosity, investigative mindset, ability to prioritize and work under time pressure, quick learning and ability to build and maintain internal/external relationships.

Salary Range

The estimated salary range for this position is €60,000 - €80,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.
