Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic researcher to join our team at the SABIC Technology and Innovation Center in Geleen, the Netherlands.

About the Role

This internship is an excellent opportunity for students interested in plastics research and development to contribute to a cutting-edge project focused on lab-scale pyrolysis of mixed plastic waste.

As a researcher, you will be responsible for working with state-of-the-art equipment, collaborating with different disciplines, and contributing to the development of new materials and processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform experiments independently, under training from experienced experts
  • Conduct data analysis and summarize findings in a final internship report and presentation
  • Search literature and databases to collect relevant background information
  • Work with regular GC (1-dimensional) to perform data acquisition and interpretation
Requirements
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Bachelor or Master's degree in chemical or mechanical engineering
  • Curiosity, investigative skills, and hands-on mentality
  • Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team and adapt well in an international environment
  • Self-driven and good communication skills
