Lexius Search is an independent corporate service provider in the Netherlands, providing a range of services to foreign companies. Our client in Amsterdam is seeking a full-time Junior Accountant to join their team.

About the Role

This challenging and diverse job offers the opportunity to work in close cooperation with the Senior Accountant and be part of a fast-growing, ambitious team. As a Junior Accountant, you will maintain the financial administration, compile annual accounts, and support clients with day-to-day activities of their Dutch entities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain the administration of clients, including setting up and maintaining their financial records.
  • Liaise with clients on financial matters, including preparation of statutory annual accounts and filing accounts with local authorities.
  • Prepare periodic reports and assist with the day-to-day activities of clients.
  • Prepare and file VAT reports, as well as liaising with auditors and tax advisors.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • An academic degree in Accountancy, Finance, or Economics.
  • 3-4 years of relevant work experience, preferably in the trust sector, accounting firm, corporate service provider, or other financial institution.
  • Basic knowledge of and experience with Dutch VAT and GAAP.
  • Knowledge of and experience with IFRS (preferred).
  • Fluent English language skills (both oral and written).
  • The ability to set priorities, meet deadlines, and be flexible.
  • A responsible and proactive attitude.
  • Accuracy with an eye for detail.
