Your Opportunity





  • You will work in an international team with team members from +25 countries and clients across the globe.


  • You will collaborate with our talented and impact-driven people, including Rihab, Anna, and Divabelle.


  • You will assist in researching best practices for the development of a Responsible AI framework for SkillLab, heavily guided by the EU AI ACT.


  • You will implement this research-driven framework, ensuring our product remains socially conscious and helpful for our users.


  • You will proactively document these processes from A-Z to ensure transparency and help improve future processes.



Your Requirements





  • You have a study background in Responsible AI and are familiar with the AI Act.


  • You are familiar with Python, git, and SQL.


  • You have experience with machine learning.


  • You are very interested in explainability and transparency approaches to AI.


  • You have a strong attention to details and are able to work well both independently when needed and within a team.


  • You are collaborative, possess a learning mindset, and have strong problem-solving skills.


  • You are enthusiastic about AI that is socially meaningful and impactful.



Additional Requirements





  • You are eligible to work in the Netherlands. We don't support visa applications for applicants outside the EU.


  • You are currently enrolled as a student or graduated within the last 12 months.


  • You are able to commit to a six-month full-time (40 hour/week) internship. We envision a start-date as soon as possible.



Benefits





  • This is a paid internship. If you live in Amsterdam or relocate to Amsterdam during your internship, then the monthly reimbursement will be 1,000 EUR.


  • You can do the internship by living in another city in the Netherlands and commuting to the office 1-2 days per week. In this case, the monthly reimbursement will be 700 EUR. SkillLab covers your train commuting expenses to Amsterdam.


  • You will have a personal learning budget to invest in your professional development.


  • You will have access to mentors & coaches (SkillLab is part of the Google for Startups SDG accelerator).


  • You will have access to a monthly flexible budget of benefits via Alleo app. You can spend this budget on a large selection of providers, ranging from gym memberships to bike subscriptions and online stores.


  • You will join our bi-annual company offsite retreats in different locations like Belgium, Germany, etc.

This internship is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in developing a Responsible AI framework for a social mission-driven organization. You will work closely with our lead data scientist, Aaron, and collaborate with our talented team to create a positive impact.
