We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced researcher to join our team at TU Delft as a Postdoctoral Researcher in Damage Tolerance of Structural Bonded Joints. The successful candidate will contribute to the development and validation of methodologies for fatigue and damage growth tests on generic coupons with bonded structures under combined load cases.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct independent research into fatigue and damage tolerance of adhesively bonded composite structures
- Assist in education delivered by the Aerospace Structures and Materials department
- Communicate research results via journal articles, conference presentations, and meetings with project partners
- PhD degree in a relevant field, e.g. Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or similar
- Affinity with the topic of fatigue of composite structures and materials
- Desire to acquire new skills and knowledge needed to complete the project
- Critical attitude towards own work and that of others
- Good written and oral communication skills
- English proficiency
Salary and benefits are in accordance with the Collective Labour Agreement for Dutch Universities. TU Delft offers a customizable compensation package, discounts on health insurance, and a monthly work costs contribution. Flexible work schedules can be arranged.
