Engineering Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Engineering Manager to join our team at Chart Industries. As a key member of our middle management team, you will be responsible for leading our engineering function and driving business growth.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and manage the engineering function, including project, product, and package engineering teams.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve engineering performance, including order intake, on-time delivery, cost of poor quality, and productivity.
- Establish and maintain strong connections with the Chart Europe and global Engineering teams to optimize performance and drive cost reduction.
- Develop a long-term strategy for the engineering function, aligning with business goals and market developments.
- Accountable for the performance of the new build engineering function, including coaching, talent management, retention, performance management, recruitment, wellbeing, and absenteeism management.
- Establish a Zero Defects culture, ensuring quality of deliverables and reducing cost of poor quality to zero.
- Ensure 100% On-Time Delivery of detailed engineering milestones, capable of meeting demand fluctuations.
- Bachelor degree in Engineering or equivalent.
- Proven experience in leading people with respect to performance and development, with ability to develop and coach people leaders.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to build a motivating and stimulating culture within the engineering function.
- Change management skills, with demonstrated ability to effectively lead change in organizations.
- Coordination and delegation skills, with ability to retain oversight on activities and priorities.
- Demonstrated competencies in identifying, implementing, and delivering impact through process improvements.
- Full proficiency in the English language to navigate in international business environments.
- Experience in EPC contracts and Engineered-to-Order projects, as well as leading technical proposal- or engineering activities, is preferred.
- Experience in Configure-to-Order processes, product/solution standardization, and manufacturing engineering/DfX processes is also preferred.
