About the Job

As a Senior Opto-Mechatronics Design Expert, you will play a central role in our projects.


You will work on the development and integration of optical modules into mechatronic systems.


Our team focuses on different optical modules such as imaging, 3D sensors, distance sensors, lasers, and more.


You will be responsible for all optical modules and optics-related system aspects.



Your Responsibilities

You will apply your broad opto-mechatronic know-how and creativity to realize innovative solutions for the high-tech industry.


You will be involved in the entire product creation process from concept ideation to industrialization.


Depending on your experience, you will be hired as an Opto-Mechatronic Architect or Designer.



Requirements


  • 8+ years of industrial experience in opto-mechatronic system design for the high-tech industry.
  • A completed academic degree (MSc or PhD) in physics or other relevant field.
  • Experience in the design, realization, and verification of opto-mechatronic systems, including illumination and imaging/machine vision applications.
  • Experience in systems integration aspects of optical (sub-)systems, including opto-mechanics, tolerance analysis, metrology, and calibration.
  • Experience in designing one-offs as well as series production, including industrialization.
  • Excellent modelling, experimental, and analytical problem-solving skills.
  • A system approach with a talent to think on a helicopter level as well as detailed level in combination with an excellent sense of priorities.
  • A pragmatic hands-on approach and willingness to pick up a screwdriver when needed.
  • Excellent communication skills, both with internal stakeholders and towards customers and suppliers.
