About the Job

CESI, a world-leading technical consulting and engineering company, is seeking a Power Cybernetics Engineer-Researcher to join its Division KEMA Labs. As a key member of the Flex Power Grid (FPG) Lab team, you will contribute to the development of existing and upcoming services in Power Cybernetics, creating new or related services to position the company for growth within the power system industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop sophisticated closed-loop testing and validation methods for power equipment, including hardware testing, simulation, and software model validation.
  • Collaborate with laboratory partners, industry partners, and international standardization bodies to acquire new knowledge and competence.
  • Work closely with the FPG Lab team to enhance KEMA Labs' recognition as a technology leader in selected areas.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or Physics (Ph.D. preferred).
  • Solid knowledge of power systems, its operation, and protection.
  • Solid knowledge of power electronic principles, control, and power conversion applications.
  • Solid knowledge of power electronic and power system modeling.
  • Solid knowledge of power electronic and power system (digital) simulation.
  • Experience with real-time-simulation, co-simulation, or hardware-in-the-loop techniques is an advantage.
