Senior Data Analyst - Urban Gym Group

Urban Gym Group is an industry pioneer within the European wellness and fitness community, with over 40 clubs and studios in major cities across the Netherlands and The United Kingdom. As a key player in our Business Intelligence team, you will be responsible for extracting valuable insights from our data, helping us optimise operations, enhance member experiences, and support our ambitious growth plans.

About the Role:

  • We are looking for an experienced Data Analyst to join our team, who can conduct market research and analyses to identify new club locations.
  • You will develop business cases for club expansion, including new builds, mergers, and acquisitions.
  • You will build ETL processes to structure data from various sources for business use.
  • You will create data views, tables, and reports supporting daily operations and strategic goals.
  • You will design dashboards that enable informed, data-driven decisions.
  • You will analyse growth to identify high-performing areas and new opportunities.
  • You will query databases for insights on key metrics like revenue and member retention.
  • You will use data to boost member retention, inform marketing strategies, and support revenue growth.

Your Skills and Qualifications:

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in a data-focused role (e.g., Data Analyst, Data Engineer, or BI Specialist).
  • Proven expertise in data pipeline creation, data visualization, and analytics.
  • Advanced proficiency in SQL with a strong understanding of Azure SQL.
  • Hands-on experience building ETL pipelines, ideally using Python or Azure Synapse Analytics.
  • Proficient in Power BI, with a track record of designing impactful dashboards and reports.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
  • Industry experience in fitness/wellness or retail is preferred, with insights into customer retention, revenue optimization, and business expansion.
  • Able to communicate complex data insights in a clear, actionable format for non-technical audiences.
