Key Responsibilities- Conduct collaborative and novel research in the field of Critical Field Archaeology Studies
- Contribute to the development of inclusive, sustainable, and ethically sound fieldwork best practices
- Design and conduct research projects, including data collection, processing, and analysis
- Publish and present research findings in international peer-reviewed journals and to academic and professional audiences
- Actively participate in discussions on research innovation and contribute to the development of the Field Research Education Centre
- Master's degree in Archaeology, Anthropology, or a related field
- Demonstrable ability and enthusiasm for innovative and interdisciplinary research
- Experience with fieldwork aimed at heritage studies and/or collecting archaeological data and materials
- Active and critical research attitude
- Good time-management, organizational, and communication skills
The selected candidate will be appointed for 4 years, with a trial period of 1 year, followed by an extension of 3 years. The salary is in accordance with the Collective Labor Agreement for Dutch Universities (P scale: P0 to P3 = €2770 - €3539 gross per month). The PhD student will be embedded in the Graduate School of Archaeology and have access to various PhD training courses.
