Our company has two assembly lines in Nijmegen for the largest trucks in the range: the Big Truck line and Jumbo Truck line. Salary and Benefits

Hyster-Yale offers a market-conform salary ranging from €4,200 to €4,600 per month. Additionally, you will receive an 8% holiday allowance, 27 days of leave plus 13 ADV days per year, and the possibility to sell 6 ADV days per year. You will also have access to a PME pension fund, hybrid working possibilities, and a gross/net benefit for purchases such as bicycles or sports subscriptions.

The travel allowance is €0.19 cents per KM, with a maximum of €11.40 EUR per day. You will also have access to an employee handbook containing information about discounts on insurance, company health care package, and other benefits.


Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Embedded Software Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will design and develop software for forklift truck (sub)systems, including hydraulics, mechanics, and electronics. You will work on streamlining and automating the process of creating, testing, and deploying software applications.

  • You will define requirements and develop software for controllers (hydraulics/cooling);
  • Develop specifications for software development and deployment;
  • Design and implementation of automation tools for continuous integration, delivery, and deployment;
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to software functions, both behind your desk and in one of the trucks.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a completed HBO Automotive Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Control Technology, or Computer Science degree. At least 3 years' experience in developing embedded software in C/C++ is required, along with full command of the English language and Dutch proficiency. Familiarity with Python, Java, and/or Jenkins is an advantage, as well as experience with managing vehicle controls and relevant protocols.

Affinity with the complete Software Development Life Cycle and experience within the automotive industry are also highly desirable.
