We are seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Researcher to join our team at Universiteit Utrecht. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and executing a research project focused on the role of microbiome products in urinary tract infections.
The project aims to develop novel computational metabolomics methods and apply them to identify microbiome products in patient samples and complex microbial communities. The researcher will work closely with our team of experts in mass spectrometry, bioinformatics, and microbiology to achieve this goal.
Key Responsibilities- Design and execute a research project focused on microbiome products in urinary tract infections
- Develop novel computational metabolomics methods and apply them to identify microbiome products
- Work closely with the team to analyze and interpret data
- Present research findings at international conferences and publish in top-tier journals
- PhD degree in a relevant field (analytical chemistry, computational biology, etc.)
- Experience with mass spectrometry, mass spectrometry data analysis, and/or computational metabolomics
- Strong programming skills in Python and/or R
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- A postdoctoral research position for 30 months
