Chief Data Strategist

We are seeking a highly skilled Chief Data Strategist to join our team in the Netherlands. As a key member of our Enterprise Information Management (EIM) team, you will play a vital role in shaping our data-driven strategy and driving business success.

The Chief Data Strategist will be responsible for developing and implementing a robust data architecture that aligns with our business objectives. This includes:

• Designing and maintaining a scalable data ecosystem that supports current and future business requirements
• Collaborating closely with business stakeholders to understand their data needs and requirements
• Acting as a bridge between technical teams and business leaders to ensure alignment between data architecture and organizational goals
• Implementing best practices for data modelling, integration, and governance to ensure scalability, reliability, and performance

The Chief Data Strategist will also be responsible for establishing and enforcing data governance policies to ensure data quality, integrity, and security. This includes:

• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to define and implement data standards and processes
• Leading the evaluation and adoption of emerging technologies and tools in the data space
• Driving innovation by proposing and implementing new data-driven solutions that enhance our capabilities

The Chief Data Strategist will work collaboratively with data governance managers, data engineers, analysts, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless implementation of data solutions. They will also mentor and guide team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field
• Proven experience as a Data Architect in a large, complex organization
• In-depth knowledge of data architecture principles, practices, and emerging trends
• Experience with data governance and compliance
• Technical proficiency in data modelling, ETL processes, and data warehousing
• Familiarity with cloud-based data solutions is a plus
