We are seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Researcher to join our team at VU Amsterdam. As a key member of our research group, you will contribute to the development of novel methods in serial crystallography and dynamic structural biology.
Key Responsibilities- Establish and optimize data processing pipelines for crystallographic data
- Participate in time-resolved serial crystallography experiments and contribute to the analysis of results
- Take an active role in organizing and coordinating serial crystallography experiments
- Investigate the photo-regulatory and molecular responses of various proteins to light irradiation
- Complement serial crystallography observations with time-resolved spectroscopy
- PhD in physics, physical chemistry, biophysics, biochemistry, or a related field
- Experience in structural biology and serial crystallography or large data analysis
- Advanced knowledge of CrystFEL or DIALS data processing packages
- Good knowledge of Python or another programming language
- Excellent knowledge of English
- A challenging position in a socially engaged organization
- A salary of minimum € 3,000 (Scale 10.00) gross per month, on a full-time basis
- A position for at least 0.8 FTE, with the possibility of extension
