Shimano is seeking a skilled procurement specialist to drive cost-effective purchases of indirect goods and services. As a key member of our Eindhoven office, you will be responsible for implementing procurement strategies that meet the company's needs while ensuring quality control and adherence to policies and procedures.
The Challenge
- Develop and execute RFx processes, market analysis, and negotiation plans to achieve cost savings in indirect procurement categories.
- Identify opportunities for cost reduction through alternate sourcing and collaborate with stakeholders to implement changes.
- Maintain the ordering management system to ensure a smooth-running business, providing support to internal customers as needed.
- Act as a liaison between suppliers and internal stakeholders, resolving challenges and managing relationships.
- Establish and implement supplier management processes to ensure contract agreements are met and service performance is maintained.
- Evaluate supplier performance periodically and recommend optimization of the supplier portfolio.
- Contribute to business process improvement and organizational development initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree and 2-4 years of experience in a similar role.
- NEVI 1 + 2 certification is a plus.
- Experience with procurement of indirect procurement categories is an advantage.
- Strong analytical, communication, persuasion, and negotiating skills, both internal and external.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Travel may be required for this position.
