As a Senior Database Administrator at Stater, you will play a crucial role in managing, securing, and optimizing our databases.

You will be responsible for:

  • Identifying user needs and ensuring database efficiency and reliability
  • Troubleshooting and resolving database errors and issues
  • Developing and implementing standards, guidelines, and (security) policies for the use of database platforms
  • Guiding and supporting application developers in their choices regarding databases
  • Collaborating with internal customers to provide high-quality service
  • Reducing manual effort through automation
  • Securing the environment by applying best industry practices from design to implementation

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies like SAFe and SCRUM, as well as experience in putting them into practice
  • 5+ years of experience with Microsoft SQL Server, including SSIS, SSAS, and PowerBI
  • Good experience and knowledge of SAP Sybase ASE, PostgreSQL, or Mongo DB
  • Proficiency in Linux and/or Windows OS administration
  • Familiarity with database management tools such as SSMS, DBIsql, ASEIsql, Sybase Central, SCC, DBA Cockpit, DBeaver, SCCM, SCOM, CMS, etc.
  • Experience with DevOps tools and principles for database development and deployment
  • Experience with maintenance solutions like sp_Blitz, DBAtools, and Ola Hallengren SQL Server Maintenance Solution
  • Experience with securing features like Encryption, Auditing, Access control, Assessments
