Position Overview
Key Responsibilities:
As a Junior Manager of Network Design, you will oversee straightforward sourcing initiatives and manage simple footprint projects. Your contributions will be vital in evaluating the 'Make Vs Buy' strategy and supporting the Capacity Strategic Plan.
Main Duties Include:
- Oversee straightforward footprint and sourcing projects, particularly focusing on the Make vs Buy analysis.
- Identify assessment drivers such as potential savings, strategic alignment, partnerships, capacity limitations, innovation, and efficiency within the internal network.
- Facilitate collaboration among various departments (finance, S&OP, engineering, logistics, procurement) to outline scenarios and compile necessary data.
- Conduct basic network evaluations, draw insights and recommendations, and engage in discussions regarding the findings and alternatives.
- Assist in the Capacity Strategic Plan, which includes evaluating offload possibilities, scenario modeling, and forecasting capacity needs.
- Gather production asset parameters, shifts, OEE glidepath, and distribution center data to project capacity for selected scenarios, integrating external manufacturing capabilities into the process.
- Comprehend potential solutions presented in factory workshops, external manufacturers, and warehouses.
- Provide guidance and support to the Capacity Analyst during discussions related to selected capacity evaluations.
- Establish, document, and implement processes for the assessment and governance of the Make vs Buy strategy.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, logistics, business, economics, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in footprint optimization, strategic planning, supply chain management, or finance within the FMCG sector.
- Proficient in modeling tools, with experience in SC Guru considered an advantage.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Fluency in English; proficiency in a second language is a plus.
