Job Description

We're seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Finance and Global Procurement Intern to join our international headquarters in Utrecht. As a key member of our Procurement Finance team, you'll have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in creating business insights and recommendations through analysis and benchmarking of procurement results. Your key activities will include:

  • Supporting daily procurement finance activities, including period-end close, forecasting, budgeting, and improving cash position.
  • Working on an intelligent automation project to automate finance processes and manual work of the procurement finance team.
  • Building a solid process and Excel model to measure the impact of feedstock and energy market movements on procurement results.
  • Creating and updating reports using JACOBS DOUWE EGBERTS' various systems, including Excel, SAP, BW, Power BI, and BPC.
  • Participating in activities related to buying price components, market impact on cost prices, standard cost price setting, inflation, and productivities.

Requirements

We're looking for a candidate with a strong academic background in Finance, Controlling, Business Administration, or a related field. You should possess:

  • Strong MS Office skills.
  • Fluent proficiency in speaking and written English.
  • A structured approach, driven and energetic personality, excellent communication and people skills, and the ability to work both in a team and independently.
  • A commitment to dedicating at least 6 months to this internship, preferably from September to February.
  • Availability to join the internship for 5 days per week, including three days in-office and one or two days remotely.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for this internship, you must:

  • Be enrolled in a BSc (or MSc) program for the entirety of the internship.
  • Have your internship included in your study curriculum and directly contribute to your academic results.
  • Have your educational institution willing to sign a collaboration agreement with JACOBS DOUWE EGBERTS and an NDA agreement for internships.
  • Be either an EU(EEA) student residing in the Netherlands during the internship or a Non-EU(EEA) student enrolled and living in the Netherlands during the internship.
