Scholars in the field of photonic integrated circuits are invited to apply for a Process Engineer position at SMART Photonics, a leading foundry for integrated photonics. Our innovative solutions cater to a diverse range of industries, including telecommunications, healthcare, and sensing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, optimize, and maintain lithography processes for the fabrication of photonic integrated circuits, ensuring highest quality standards in manufacturing operations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, production, and quality assurance, to ensure process integration and alignment with project goals.
  • Perform process characterization, data analysis, and troubleshooting to enhance process performance and yield.
  • Implement and monitor process control strategies to maintain consistency and reliability in production.
  • Conduct experiments and provide technical support for new product introductions and process development projects.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations within the lithography area.
  • Prepare and maintain process documentation, including standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in lithography technology to drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Material Science, Physics, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in photolithography or semiconductor processing.
  • Strong understanding of lithography principles, equipment, and materials.
  • Hands-on experience with photolithography tools and process characterization techniques.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and statistical process control (SPC).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to convey technical information clearly.
  • Knowledge of photonics and experience with photonic integrated circuits is a plus.
