We are seeking a passionate and skilled Chef de Partie to join our team at the Pestana Amsterdam Riverside hotel.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking dishes to the highest standards, working closely with the Sous Chef to optimize the cooking process and ensure exceptional quality and speed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare menus in collaboration with colleagues.
  • Ensure adequacy of supplies at the cooking stations.
  • Prepare ingredients that should be frequently available (vegetables, spices etc.).
  • Follow the guidance of the Head chef and provide input in new presentations or dishes.
  • Put effort in optimizing the cooking process with attention to speed and quality.
  • Cook food in various utensils or grillers.
Requirements
  • Speaks English/Dutch.
  • Has prior experience in a similar position.
  • Has the ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure.
  • Understands different cooking practices.
  • Has some managerial and coaching skills.
  • Is motivated and stress resistant.
  • Is familiar with HACCP.
  • Is flexible and willing to work on weekends and holidays when needed.
