About this role

We are seeking a skilled Android Software Engineer to join our IKEA app team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing high-quality code for the native Android IKEA app using Kotlin.

Key responsibilities
  • Develop, quality assure, and maintain high-quality code for the native Android IKEA app.
  • Work in agile teams to contribute to the development and maintenance of products and solutions.
  • Apply and adhere to good practice software engineering principles, such as DRY principles, TDD and BDD, continuous integration, automated tests, pair programming, and code reviews.
  • Provide support and guidance to other developers within the development team, encouraging good practices.
  • Contribute to the continuous development of standards against which software development should take place, as well as exploring and bringing in new technologies to boost innovation and development productivity.
  • Work closely with other software engineers and cross-functional teams to produce design specifications and ensure that digital solutions work together and fulfill business needs.
