About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Account Manager to strengthen our Sales Team in Amsterdam. As an Account Manager, you will play a vital role in achieving our commercial objectives by managing and developing a portfolio of customers, utilizing value-based selling, and providing exceptional service to our merchant customers.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Manage a portfolio of customers, both sell-in and sell-out.
  • Document all merchant-specific information and activities in CRM.
  • Deliver net turnover and sales targets, taking corrective action when results deviate from expectations.
  • Improve merchant knowledge and expertise with our services.
  • Diligently implement group strategies and sales tools.
  • Minimize bad debts exposure by controlling receivables.
  • Conduct business statistics analysis, presentation, discussion, and action.
  • Develop and implement action plans and store visits aligned with Global Blues Strategy.
  • Manage issuing solutions for merchants.
  • Perform administrative tasks, including incoming phone calls and email responses.

    Requirements:

    • Strong customer orientation and management skills.
    • Self-motivation, customer focus, and target-driven approach.
    • Problem-solving attitude.
    • Ability to work in an international environment.
    • Interest in technical and digital solutions.
    • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
    • Proficiency in MS Office products and CRM.
    • Fluency in written and spoken Dutch and English.

    Desirable Qualifications:

    • Experience in Sales or Account Management.
    • Education in Sales, Marketing, or Retail-related studies.
    • Previous work experience or knowledge in Retail.
    • Experience in tax-free business is beneficial.
