Industrial Engineering Internship: Geometric Deep Learning for Semiconductor Manufacturing

Introduction
ASML, a world leader in the semiconductor manufacturing industry, is seeking a highly motivated and skilled intern to join its team in the Image Processing & Machine Learning group. As an intern, you will have the opportunity to work on a project that involves designing and developing next-generation geometric deep learning algorithms to improve the performance of ASML's tools and solutions.
Background Information
ASML's innovative machine stack includes state-of-the-art lithography systems and cutting-edge metrology systems. The control of overlay plays a crucial role in the optimization of the fabrication yield and profit margin. In this project, you will interact with various experts on machine learning, optics, and signal processing to develop custom-made machine learning architectures.
Your Assignment
The main goal of this internship assignment is to design and develop next-generation geometric deep learning algorithms to improve the performance of some of ASML's tools and solutions. Specific tasks will include the design and validation of custom-made machine learning architectures on both simulated and measurement data of structures imaged using ASML's machines.
Your Profile
To be a perfect match for this internship, you:
- Are a master student in the fields of computer science, machine learning, computer vision, mathematics, and/or physics.
- Are skilled in signal processing, machine learning, deep learning, Python, PyTorch, TensorFlow, Scikit-Learn, and JAX.
- Have an interest in or experience with graph neural networks and physics-informed machine learning.
- Are independent, highly motivated, and possess good technical communication and presentation skills.
- Have great communication skills in English both verbally and in writing.
This is a master apprentice internship with a duration of 6 to 12 months, for 4-5 days a week, starting as soon as possible. Please note that we can only consider students who are enrolled at a school for the entire duration of the internship.
Benefits
As an intern at ASML, you will gain valuable experience in a highly innovative environment and have the opportunity to work with experts in the field. You will also receive a monthly internship allowance of maximum €600 (plus a possible housing and free public transport).
