The Publication Station is a hub for innovation and creativity, where students can develop their skills in publishing media arts and design. As a coordinator, you will play a key role in shaping the educational programs and ensuring the quality of the station's operations.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and guide a team of ±10 colleagues, including instructors, teachers, and student assistants, to support and educate students in technical skills and creative research in publishing media.
- Develop and implement qualitative educational programs in close collaboration with the team and other educational program leaders.
- Organize and oversee the station's operations, including logistics, facilities, and inventory management, within the station's budget.
- Expand the station's network of external partners, suppliers, and innovative companies to stay at the forefront of publishing technologies.
- Coordinate operations, logistics, and facilities with involved third parties, such as facility services and the ICT department.
- Relevant experience in publishing media arts/design education, ideally in higher art and design education.
- Experience in leading teams and/or projects, with a problem-solving attitude and a strong affinity for collaboration and ideas from others.
- Excellent communicative skills in English and Dutch, with knowledge of Excel and experience with planning software and other relevant administration tools.
- A relevant education of at least HBO level and a strong understanding of the publishing media arts/design field.
Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences offers a temporary contract for a year, with a salary ranging from €3,896.33 to €5,936.77 (scale 11 CAO HBO) gross per month, exclusive of additional 8% holiday pay and 8.3% end-of-year bonus. We also offer access to professionalization opportunities, pedagogical courses, and a good work-life balance with more than 50 days off per year for full-time employment.
