We are seeking a highly motivated and talented individual to join our research team at Radboud University as a PhD candidate. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on a project that aims to analyze climate change mitigation strategies and their potential to contribute to societal sustainability transformations.
About the Project
The project will involve developing a methodological framework that integrates methods and expertise from different disciplines, including discourse analysis, policy reconstruction, life cycle assessment, multi-regional input-output modeling, and statistical data and text analysis. The candidate will work closely with their supervisors to develop this framework and apply it to one or more climate change mitigation strategies to study their transformative potential.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop a methodological framework for analyzing climate change mitigation strategies
- Apply the framework to one or more climate change mitigation strategies to study their transformative potential
- Work closely with supervisors and colleagues to develop and implement the research project
- Participate in relevant conferences and workshops to present research findings
- Communicate research findings through publications in peer-reviewed journals
- Assist staff members in teaching activities at the MSc level (in English)
Requirements
We are looking for a candidate with a strong background in a relevant field, excellent research skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. The candidate should have a strong interest in climate change mitigation strategies and societal sustainability transformations.
Supervision
The candidate will be supervised by Dr. Carlijn Hendriks and Prof. Birka Wicke.
