About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Ops Engineer to join our team at DPG Media. As an Ops Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining the infrastructure, systems, and processes required to support and secure our software development, machine learning, and security operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, configure, and manage infrastructure components, based on AWS.
  • Implement infrastructure-as-code (IaC) practices to automate provisioning, deployment, and scaling of resources.
  • Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate the build, testing, and deployment of software applications.
  • Deploy and configure software applications, services, and microservices across different environments.
  • Implement monitoring and alerting systems to proactively identify and address performance bottlenecks, availability issues, and security threats.
  • Implement security best practices, including identity and access management (IAM), network security, encryption, and vulnerability management.
  • Set up and manage infrastructure and tools required for machine learning workflows.
  • Automate manual tasks and workflows using scripting languages and configuration management tools.
  • Participate in incident response activities, including diagnosing and resolving system failures, performance issues, and security incidents.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong proficiency in programming and scripting languages, such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
  • Experience with infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
  • Familiarity with continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) tools, such as GithubActions, Jenkins, GitLab, or CircleCI.
  • Knowledge of containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) and orchestration frameworks.
  • Understanding of machine learning concepts and experience working with machine learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow).
  • Knowledge of security principles and best practices, including encryption, authentication, and access control.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS) and associated services.
  • Proficiency in system administration, networking, and troubleshooting.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team and across different stakeholders.
